Hi Jackson, how is your post data formatted? CURL needs it like this: "Hello=World&Foo=Bar&Baz=Wombat"; perhaps you could paste some code for me to have a look at?

Ah neat trick! Are there any other % vars that you have come across? I prefer nice names rather than hostnames when I browse bonjour. Some services are bonjour aware, maybe we should look at how to go about patching each?

If you want moderators to have full power in the modcp simply copy the admin_users.php file from your admin directory and the related template files. Be warned that this will mean they can delete your admin users too! You may want to edit the script to protect against that kind of action.

Hmm, wow. I've not played with the FI themes for ages. I normally suggest that you try and stick with the SubSilver/SubBlack theme for modcp if you can. Otherwise have a look through the admin templates for your FI template. Much of the template code is the same for modcp as the admin :o) See how the SubSilver templates differ between the admin and modcp and you should find it easy to make modcp FI templates. If you like I'll happily host any working modcp templates for future generations ;o)

I'm not so fussed about getting a source for people who read my feeds in an aggregator like Google Reader, but more if they are being syndicated like the LSUCS Planet and facebook. But yes that link would work :o)

Heh, cheers for the comment Dan. I'm more interested in just finding out usage information for my feeds, website, etc. I also like to keep trying out new toys and features to see if they're useful for any other sites I might build :o)

Ah, good find! It's that config button that I so often don't explore when I get a new dialogue open with "Characters" hidden right in the middle. :-)

I've noticed that when loading more than a couple of images from the cache for the first time it often doesn't load them all (though they're being cached) so I'm experimenting with a few tweaks including adding an arbitrary amount of time onto the Last-Modified header and also redirecting the user once they've triggered a first-time load. Hopefully this combination will help :o)

It wasn't getting the caching quite right at times :o( Now that I've worked out most of the kinks I've definately noticed it working a lot quicker. :o)

    Hi there,

I've successfully updated the mod following the previously linked instructions and tested installing it with EasyMod. For your convenience I've uploaded the working changes to 1255_modcp.zip.

I would expect you to see more of a performance increase than myself as when I visit the site I'm often getting internal network speeds ;o) the thing I've noticed dreamhost is good at is the really simple / static stuff which this is. If you have a wander around the gallery, then clear your cache and view again you should notice some improvements!

    Hi there,

The instructions in "How to add new Modules" should help you here. Basically change all of the admin/ in the install script and within the php files to modcp/.
