CSS Naked Day 2009

It's that time of year again, time to strip off your stylesheets and bare all for 1 day. Last year nearly 2,200 sites took part in CSS Naked Day (1,600 in 2007 and 750 in 2006), do you think we can see another increase this year? If you want to show your interest head over to the CSS Naked Day website and signup. Then on Thursday turn off all of the stylesheets on your site for 48 hours (1 international day). There are even some handy scripts you can download to make it easier for yourself. I'll be turning off the JavaScript on MilkHub too to show that it's there to add functionality and not a requirement.

Why?

The idea behind this event is to promote Web Standards. Plain and simple. This includes proper use of (x)html, semantic markup, a good hierarchy structure, and of course, a good 'ol play on words. It's time to show off your <body>.
